The time the Vampire bit me.

Oh boy. Where do we begin... let's see.
My upbringing was deeply rooted in spirituality and magick practices, as such I have never been a stranger to the idea of keeping and caring for spirits. The practice simply changed shape and form as I grew into my own practice and found my footing.
At the time I was working closely with and learning to understand the practice of summoning unbound Fae and Dragons. I was also working with Lilith on my personal journey and decided to extend that courtesy to her children. Anybody that knows me may know that I was, am and forever shall be a HUGE twilight fan ( feel free to gasp in shock).
While controversially a strong advocate for Team Jacob, I really wanted to explore more connections with vampires. So - I decided to reach out to a friend of mine that worked closely with Vampires to ask them how was best to approach this. I had a few run ins here and there with Vampires but I had never intentionally summoned/invited one.
So, I took my friends advice and left offerings out and did the whole nine yards - hastily and then I left home to meet a friend.
This my gentle readers is where the mistake was made.
You see, the thing about working with a combination of randomized tips and unbounds is that you simply don't know WHO or WHAT you are going to attract... and I simply wasn't home to check.
I was in a popular Italian restaurant in town, the kind with the thin smokey stone baked pizzas, handful of rich red wines to choose from and large bottles of infused olive oils on every table. The windows were steamy, the room perfumed with the smell of burning wood and black pepper and thickened by the sound of gentle jazz and conversation. There I was sitting in the corner chowing down on a glorious sun dried tomato, olive and artichoke pizza, having completely forgotten the invitation I had sent.
Midway through my conversation - I felt it. OUCH!
Not once, not twice but THREE consecutive times!
I shot up from the table like a rocket. Sending my pizza roller to ricochet on the floor. The sound echoing through the restaurant and gaining the attention of some neighbouring tables.
"Are you okay?" - my friend, appearing extremely worried asked. Totally. I chalked it up to cramp and made a beeline for the bathroom to inspect the bite areas.
Vampire bites are truly unmistakeable and horrifically painful. Sharp. Stingy. Tingly.
Needless to say I spent what felt like half an hour arguing with the Vampire who bit me in the bathroom, it was really more like 2 minutes not wanting my friend to grow suspicious.
The Vampire who bit me was waiting for me in the bathroom, having gotten the wrong impression from my offerings. He had expected a romantic entanglement to ensue. As I left my offerings on my small alter that I had in my bedroom in my apartment at the time. Hence why he bit me in some rather, shall I say, unconventional places?
My evening continued - this tale doesn't end there.
I may share more in upcoming posts.
These experiences I am sharing are from back in my days of figuring it out and being what some may call a 'baby witch/conjurer'. I of course don't recommend doing this at all but I hope you enjoyed the read and let me know if you'd like more similar stories of my adventures before I became a professional.
