What is Spirit keeping?

Is a question I get asked a lot by those that are new to the spirit keeping scene.

In essence, spirit keeping is the practice where we keep, care for and honour spirits. They may be in the form of ancestral spirits, spirit guides or conjured spirits like the ones I offer on my store.

For centuries now we have read of house spirits like gnomes and brownies dwelling in peoples homes. The fae folk, faery pools in sky, fairy portals (mushroom rings). We have read of earth roaming dragons, sirens emerging from the depths to ensnare captains and lure them to their demise. Energy vampires, pixies being responsible for your missing items.

None of this is new to us, these tales are as old as time.

These spirits are real, they simply exist on a different plane.

To explain this in simpler terms, Heaven is in the clouds so angelics dwell on a higher vibrational plane. We as human's are on earth which is lower down so we sit in the middle in terms of vibrational planes. Demonics are bellow ground so they sit on a lower vibrational plane. They are all real, just dwelling at a different frequency than us.

Spirit keeping is really at it's core about connection ; it's about connecting with beings on other planes to share knowledge, experience and companionship. Which is why we call it spirit companionship.

You can call on family spirits if your unwell with the cold or maybe a unicorn, a natural healer too.

Spirit keeping is about embracing the magick that surrounds you, both visible and not.

Connection is the most important thing of all.
